(1) ½ c butter, room temp.
(2) ½ c smooth/crunchy peanut butter
(3) ¾ c packed brown sugar
(4) ¼ c granulated sugar
(5) 1 egg
(6) 1 tsp vanilla extract
(7) ¼ tsp salt
(8) 1-3/4 c all purpose
(9) 1 tsp baking soda
(10) Tbsp granulated sugar (optional)
(11) 48 milk-chocolate candy kisses
OR Your favorite jam or jelly
Preheat oven on 375F.
In a medium bowl, beat together 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, till light & fluffy.
Add 8 and 9, beating till thoroughly blended.
Shape dough into 48 balls, using rounded tsp.
Roll balls in 3 Tbsp granulated sugar.
Place them 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8-10 min till golden. Immediately top each cookie with candy kiss. (makes 48)
OR Immediately make an imprint with a wooden spoon in the center. Fill center with ¼ tsp w/jam or jelly.
