Halushki
> 2 Tbsp olive oil
> 1 onion (preferably yellow or sweet), chopped into strips
> 1 large head cabbage, shredded
> 1/3 cup vegetable or chicken broth or water
> 1/2 tsp fresh garlic, minced
> 12 oz chopped ham, cooked (you can also use bacon, pork chops, proscuitto or you can skip this step to make it vegetarian)
> Package of egg noodles, cooked and drained
> Salt, pepper to taste
What you will need to do:
In a dutch oven or large saucepan, heat olive oil and cook onion over medium low heat until translucent. Cook egg noodles according to package directions in another pot. To saucepan with onion in it, add cabbage, garlic and broth/water. Continue to cook until cabbage wilts. Once the noodles are cooked and drained, add them and the rest of ingredients to the saucepan, stir, and cook for an additional five minutes on low. This recipe can probably serve at least six. We have several days worth of leftovers when we make this!
