No. of Players: small group
Equipment: Various
Time: 10+ minutes
Aim: To have fun and memoriable Christmas Dinner.
Rules
1. Fill the Christmas stocking with the Christmas items and tie it with the ribbon. Hand out a pen and blank piece of paper to each player.
2. The players sit around in a circle and write their names on the pieces of paper.
3. The leader will pass the stocking to the first player who feels around the outside of it trying to guess what is inside. She then passes it on to the next player. Once she has passed it on she writes down everything she has guessed.
4. The next player does the same and passes the stocking on before writing down their guesses.
5. Continue until all players have felt the stocking and written down what they think the stocking contains.
6. Collect all the pieces of paper. Open up the Christmas stocking and reveal the items one at a time to the players.
7. Read out each of the players' guesses (there should be some hilarious laughter). The player who got the most number of items correct is the winner.
Put wrapped candy in a jar and leave some pencils and small slips of paper in the center of the table. Let people guess how many candies they think are in the jar.
Whoever guesses the closes number, gets the whole jar of candies.
This could be played during the whole evening, as people write their guesses and their names on a paper. At the end of the evening, you may announce the winner.
Supplies: Gift items, wrapping paper, tape, music - that can be turned on and off
This gift has layer and layers of wrapping paper but who will be the lucky person to unwrap the last layer and win the gift! This hot potato type game has variations that can make each unwrapping entertaining.
Wrap a gift or gifts if several groups in several layers of wrapping paper. The number of layers depends on how long you want the game to last, plus the more people the more layers.
Have everyone sit in a circle and give your group / groups a gift and tell them when you turn on the music to pass the gift in one direction and when you turn off the music who ever has the gift gets to take off ONE layer of wrapping paper, continue this until the last layer of paper is taken off and whoever has the gift unwrapped gets to keep it.Variation
Place a slip of paper in between each wrapping. On each piece of paper will be a question about Jesus' Birth.
